WOW – that is what best describes our Fundraiser Disco for Lauren Hew yesterday! We had over 220 kids dancing away the afternoon, singing songs & playing games!
The afternoon would not have been possible without our sponsors who covered all our hard costs meaning 100% of money raised goes to Lauren and her family (minus paypal fees). Our supportive and generous sponsors were The Northern Centre and Ready Steady Go Kids! The venue space of Ryde Civic Hall was thanks to City of Ryde.
We also had some great items donated to help make the day even better!
Panetta Mercato at Macquarie Centre donated 2 beautiful fruit platters for our ‘cake stall’ for the adults along with 3 watermelons for the kids to enjoy!
The Cake Man at Macquarie Centre donated some beautiful cakes & slices for us to use on our ‘cake stall’ too! All of these items were bought when adults made a donation so we could raise more money!
Local mum Di also made some cupcakes for us to use at our cake stall too!
The kids mini cupcakes were donated by Heppy from Heppy Bake Story. The kids loved her cupcakes and tried to sneak back for seconds! The face painting fairy was organised by Abbotsford Family Pharmacy & Elaine Stack Real Estate. The kids loved her!

SO WHAT DOES ALL THIS TOTAL? Across the raffle tickets, disco tickets, money raised at the disco for donations in exchange for face painting and cake stall items we raised $7,194.23. Jess & Jac at Ryde District Mums will donate a few hundred dollars so we donate a round $7,500! This will donated directly to Lauren and her family via a bank deposit (so Go Fund Me doesn’t take all the fees!). Thank you for helping us get to this amazing result for such a special local mum. We are grateful for each and every one of you. xx
