Nurtured Education and Care has just opened in Gladesville and if you’re looking for childcare you’ll want to know about it!

Melissa

Founded by Melissa, who has 15 years experience in childcare and more recently, Primary School teaching, this family-owned and operated long day care brings together all of Melissa’s hopes and dreams for the perfect setting for little ones. Using her years of experience, she has invested every bit of her focus and creativity into creating a state-of-the-art facility with no detail spared.

Melissa’s wish is for every family to feel confident that Nutured Education and Care is the best place for their child, where worries can be put to rest for peace of mind.

The Centre

Catering to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, the centre has allocated rooms based on age and developmental milestones. Their fully qualified chef (formerly of Rockpool!) will freshly prepare organic meals onsite, serving a 5-course meal each day with all allergies and dietary requirements accommodated. Their 4 week rotational menu was designed in consultation with Munch and Move and is approved the the Australian Health Guidelines.

The centre has a big focus on sustainability and nature, with inclusions such as a vegetable garden, a recycling program, animals in each room (rabbits and guinea pigs!), compost bins, water tanks and more.

Education

Nurtured Childcare Education embraces an open-ended approach, where children take the lead in shaping the program rather than being directed by it. This empowers educators to enhance each child’s unique traits with care and affection. The program adheres to the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), which fosters the expansion and enrichment of children’s learning and development from 0-5 years.

They believe in providing opportunities for children to learn and play whilst discovering themselves with educator support combined with the value of their family’s culture and influence.

Incursions, excursions, yoga and language classes are just some of the ways they will incorporate extra-curricular programs to stimulate development and expose children to their 5 senses.

School Readiness Program

Using her experience as a primary school teacher as well as strong relationships with local schools, Melissa has developed a School Readiness Program that will prepare children in the best possible way for their future education. From liaising with your child’s primary school throughout the year to providing developmental updates on their performances and achievements, Nutured will support your child throughout each milestone.

Staff

Highly skilled staff have been handpicked to ensure they will have the time and skills to truly understand each child, identifying their unique needs and tailoring learning programs to suit their individual goals. The educators will create a nurturing and homely environment where children can grow and develop so that from the very start of their journey, each child will receive unwavering support and encouragement in the highest standard of education and care.
