North Ryde Park, North Ryde

posted in: Life, Parks & Playgrounds | 0

Although some might think this park is in East Ryde due to its proximity to the East Ryde border, it’s actually in North Ryde – as confirmed by the name! This park will win you over immediately based on one very important factor – shade! Not only are there multiple shade sails but there are also many mature trees to provide coverage as well.

This park would be a great one for hosting a party as it has BBQ, covered tables and toilets (although they are about 60 metres away).

Technically, it’s not fenced BUT it has a shin-high wooden perimeter on the roadside and the other side of the playground faces grass area and then the fenced sports field. This park would be pretty busy during Saturday sport, that’s for sure.

There is a good variety of play equipment that will suit little kids and big kids alike. This doesn’t happen in a lot of parks so great to see here!

For the little ones, there is a car they can sit in and pretend to drive plus of course the all-time classic swings (baby swing included). The rest of the equipment is suited to adventurous or confident kids aged 4/5+ up to around 10 years old such as:

  • a tall slide
  • rock climbing
  • balancing rope ladders
  • frames to climb
  • rope ladders

This playground also has the bonus of soft fall ground, which we all agree beats bark!

Getting There

North Ryde Park is located at 145 Cressy Road. There is lots of easy street parking.
