The fun never stops in this lovely patch of ours! So much has happened just in the last 3 months! Here’s what’s new around town.

 

September

 

Kings Park

24 Salter Crescent, Denistone East

We’d all been waiting for this beauty to open its gates and wow, has it been well received! Replacing the former Denistone East Bowling Club, Kings Park is a brand new neighbourhood park that offers state-of-the-art open space, a playground, seating and shelters, a multipurpose sports court and much more.

Banjo Paterson Reserve Seawall Upgrade

Punt Road, Gladesville

This upgrade includes the construction of a new sandstone seawall, installation of scenic viewing and new seating areas, upgraded concrete paths, informal access to the foreshore and landscaping.

2nd Chapter Cafe

10 Epping Park Drive, Epping

From the people who brought us Courtyard Dining and Espresso, this new cafe in the Meriton Complex Epping is a great place to enjoy all types of breakfast and lunch items

Newington Boulevard in Newington

Pierre De Coubertin playground, located adjacent to the Newington Marketplace, has just a had a nice little upgrade and is now a really fun and functional playground.

Acre Artarmon

1 Fredrick Street, Artarmon

This 2000 sq eatery attached to Artarmon Home HQ is home to a bakery, café, bar, restaurant, and events space. The restaurant serves up delectable Italian fare on their beautiful garden terrace using seasonal ingredients grown onsite. The Cafe is surrounded by sprawling indoor and outdoor gardens and a kids play area!

Rhodes Waterside

This new addition to Rhodes is one that your kids will most happy about! There’s a lot for parents to enjoy too – like lunch and coffee at the VitaLand cafe while the kids enjoy all sorts of activities and imaginary play.

Top Ryde City Shopping Centre

Having had a popular pop-up shop at local shopping centres for the last few years, Louna now has a permanent shop for all things braiding and hair extensions at Top Ryde City. Find her on the ground floor near TK Maxx.

Cuto Kids cafe

Marina Square, Wentworth Point

Just 12 minutes from Top Ryde, this cafe is definitely worth a visit. Kids will have a ball at this play centre cafe, with loads of activities from imaginary play to slides, dress ups, a ball pit, ride-on cars, a full kitchen and shopping experience, baby play area, magnetic fishing and lots more.

Anderson Park – corner of Rothesay Ave and Belmore Street

Running on the second Sunday of every month,  this fab new market has 70+ stalls from fresh produce, flowers, jewellery, clothing, jams, an array of hot food vans + coffee, live music & much more.

The Little Plaster Shop

Macquarie Centre

The little plaster shop has opened in Macquarie Centre just in time for the school holidays, and good news – plaster painting is just as fun as you remember it!

John Wearn Reserve

Corner of Farnell Avenue and Balaka Drive, Carlingford

The 2.4ha that is John Wearn Reserve, Carlingford has just had a huge upgrade to the tune of $4.2 million and the result is masterful with an awesome safari animal theme, skateboard area and HUGE fenced dog park to boot.

Kissing Point Wharf Reopening

On Wednesday 16th December Kissing Point Wharf will reopen after a temporary closure for upgrades including:

  • Improved seating and waiting areas
  • Improved safety for customers
  • Improved access for mobility-impaired customers and customers with prams
  • Quicker and more efficient ferry boarding and disembarking
  • Improved pedestrian access and movement within the interchange.
