RDM Visits: Darcy St Project Cafe + Playground, Macquarie Park

posted in: Cafes & Restaurants, Life | 0

We visited the brand new cafe in the Ivanhoe Complex at Macquarie Park and there are a thousand things to love it.

Let’s start with the fact that it has a built-in nature playground metres from the outdoor dining tables. With a wooden see-saw, merry-go-round, spring riders, hammock and balancing logs, children 3+ will just love this sweet little playground.

Secondly, it’s a SOCIAL ENTERPRISE. What does that mean? Darcy Street Project (DSP) uses its profits to help vulnerable people in the community. Since 2014, DSP has been helping people to find their sense of purpose and belonging through education, training, offering work placement, running barista courses, partnering with local aid groups and more. WOW – talk about inspirational.

Thirdly, let’s talk about the menu. It’s not only really well priced but it is DELISH! And you can watch the chefs make it right in front of you in their outdoor kitchen. How about that!?

We particularly loved the unlimited FREE sparkling mineral water – you don’t see that very often!

We secured RDMs a lovely little offer that runs til the end of 2020 – mention you’re an RDM and babycinos are on the house! Nice one!

This gorgeous cafe is without a doubt worth a visit and then another and another. We love what they stand for, loved the attached playground and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you so much for having us Darcy Street Project!
