Celebrate the 2021 Granny Smith Festival by joining in on their GRANNY SMITH VIRTUAL SHOEBOX FLOAT COMPETITION! ?
Usually the Granny Smith Festival would open with its huge Grand Street Parade involving over 2,000 people. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they’re are not able to have the usual epic Grand Street Parade this year, but instead, they want you to help create their first Online Granny Smith Carnival Parade.
This year’s competition will consist of two age groups 3 – 6 years and 7 – 12 years, with the winner of each age group leading their groups online parade.
Contestants can create a 3D mini model float out of a shoebox (or similar sized box) and using recyclable materials (cereal boxes, toilet rolls, buttons etc).
Judges will be on the lookout for floats that are inspired by the Granny Smith Festival, are colourful, use recyclable materials and for their creativity. Bonus points will be given if your float is Granny Smith Apple themed. Click here for some Inspiration!

The Winner from each age category will win the below prize pack valued at over $160.00 which will include the below:

Everyone is invited to watch the virtual parade on the Granny Smith Festival Facebook page on Friday 15 October 2021 where the winners will be revealed.
