With an upgrade on Anzac Park to the tune of about $2.5m, it’s no wonder we are super impressed with this new and improved playground.
Located between Wattle Street and ANZAC Avenue in West Ryde, this fantastic playground is an asset to the area and lots of fun for kids, we think, aged around 1-9 years.
Between the big slide, monkey ropes, water pump and climbing structure, our kids didn’t want to leave! With designated areas for older children and younger children, plenty of space and lots of green surrounds, this will definitely be a favourite for locals.
The playground has a shade sale and lots of tree coverage, as well as:
- toilets
- BBQs
- a bubbler
- a circular storytelling area
- plenty of seating
- and even a street library
- NEW fences along Wattle Street (installed August 2020)
Why not make a day of it and bring a picnic rug to enjoy a local takeaway lunch on the grass! The park is within walking distance of a few cafes – ALWAYS a winning feature!
