- Circuit ninja course – a challenge for budding ninjas to test their agility and strength
- Climbing cubes: Perfect for young climbers to conquer and master
- Table tennis – for those who enjoy a quick, competitive game
- Scooter and bike paths – attached to the walkway around the sports field, great for a ride before or after playtime.
Facilities
The playground has been thoughtfully designed with families in mind:
- it is fully fenced, ensuring the safety of the kids while they play.
- additional shaded picnic tables and chairs have been added, along with a BBQ area, making it an ideal spot for family picnics and gatherings.
- Newly planted trees will provide shade in the near future, complementing the already mature trees surrounding the playground.
- In an effort to improve safety, the playground has been relocated to be further away from the road.
Amenities
- Toilets are located on the Quarry Rd car park side for easy access.
- Extra benches have been installed for parents and guardians to relax while keeping an eye on the kids.
- There’s coffee and food available at Midway shops, which is just a short few minutes walk away.
Getting There
The playground is located on Quarry Rd, Ryde, but it’s important to note that it is behind the scout hall and not visible from Quarry Rd. There is footpath access from both Quarry Road and Bridge Road – both have a small car park and gated entrance to the playground.
