At Starlight we want to find volunteers who want to bring happiness to sick kids and their families who need it most, because we believe every child deserves a happy childhood. We know hospitals can be a scary place which is why our Starlight Express Room in Children’s Hospital Westmead is a safe place, with our our most important responsibility being to ensure our programs are safe, nurturing and caring for all children and young people. No day in the Starlight Express Room is the same for a volunteer! One day it could be helping Captains and kids with craft, the next playing video games or board games and the next helping to clean up the room from lots of glitter and paint! If you’re interested in sharing your skills to bring happiness to sick kids, or want to learn new skills (maybe you really want to learn some cool magic tricks or video games!) to brighten so many lives please apply!
