The long-awaited Granny Smith Festival (GSF) is making a comeback – Saturday 15th October from 9am!
Get ready for the old and the new in celebration of the life and legacy of one of our district’s most famous citizens, Maria Ann Smith – aka Granny Smith. You won’t want to miss this year’s GSF!
There will be:
? A colourful street parade
? Street performers and competitions
? Food trucks and a cider bar
? Over 250 market stalls
? Carnival rides and all day entertainment
? Fireworks finale at 8pm
Circus Playground
Come and visit The Circus Playground inside the grounds of Eastwood Public School between 9.00am and 3.30pm.
A circus-inspired workshop area with juggling, diabolos, devil sticks, pedalos, twirling things, hula-hoops, walking beams and hand-held stilts will be sure to keep the kids busy.
Circus not only teaches essential hand-eye coordination and balance, it is also a fun confidence-building activity that is very beneficial to a child’s development as well as being accessible to all age groups – children, young people and adults alike.
The area will also feature free face painting and sideshow alley games for all ages to enjoy.
Oval Highlights

Have your photo with your festival favourites at our Meet and Greet tent, located on the Oval in front of the stage.

Finale Concert
5.00pm – Family Circus Show
The Gagliardies Family Circus Show is guaranteed to have you in stitches. They have dug deep into their trunks to create a show which explores the weird and wonderful history of circus and magic. Witness this unusual spectacle as this children’s show brings to life the rich stories of invention, achieving impossible skill and the joy of the circus.
6.00pm – Bermuda Social
Bermuda Social is hitting the Granny Smith Oval stage from 6.00pm to bring you a mix of cherry-picked classics and snappy mash-ups which you can sing and dance along too.
7.00pm – Dami Im
Our Australian star Dami Im will be closing the Granny Smith Festival will a range of original and classic songs. Make sure to head down the main oval stage to help celebrate the end of the 2022 Granny Smith festival by partying with Dami Im.
8.00pm – Fireworks
To finish the day, enjoy a fireworks spectacular from 8.00pm.
Core Youth Zone
10am – 3.30pm at Eastwood Public School.
Pop-up skate park, dance battles, graffiti art and more – aimed at 12-25 years.
Parade
The Grand Street Parade will kick off at 9.30am with a beautiful array of colour and sound, celebrating our vibrant and diverse community. Enjoy marching bands, community floats, dancers and of course our festival float that will feature our giant inflatable apple, our Mascot Sweetie Pie and Mrs Smith herself! The best spot to view the parade is on Rowe Street.
