Figtree Park Hunters Hill has re-opened after closing for a year to undergo a major upgrade and to make the space more usable for families.

Located at 40A Gladesville Road, its $4.75m renovation has added great value to the space, which now includes a number of new features.

Park goers can now enjoy:

  • a lovey nature themed playground
  • water fountains
  • tables and chairs
  • plenty of grass
  • walking paths
  • beautifully manicured gardens
  • improved lighting and drainage
  • a new entrance on Gladesville Road with a plaza space and an inviting accessible pathway
  • coming soon: an amenities building / toilet block will be the next addition to the park

The new playground features:

  • climbing structures
  • nest swing
  • spring rider
  • outdoor musical percussion
  • talking tubes
  • a rope ladder leading to an elevated platform

Surrounded by mature trees, come summer, the playground will be well-shaded. Additionally, the playground is fenced with seating inside so parents of little ones can rest easy! Best of all, just a short stroll away on the corner of Gladesville Road and Ryde Road, you’ll find a number of cafes and eateries, a florist, IGA and more.
