Lilypad ELC invites families to their official Lilypad Open Day, where children and families will be provided with a range of useful information and be able to participate in fun activities. You will be able to see their beautiful facilities and have the opportunity to answer any questions you might have about the centre.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided on the day, and families who make a tour booking or enrol their child on the day will receive a Lilypad gift bag.

The day’s activities will include:

  • Children’s Entertainment Show: A range of activities such as face painting, balloon modelling, a parachute game, a disco party and bubble game will be provided for children between 10:30am and 11:30am.
  • CCS & Enrolment Help Desk: Their Accounts Manager will be available to provide information about the latest changes to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and any other government funding/benefits for child care fees that might apply to your family. An experienced and qualified Early Childhood Teacher and Educational Leader will be assisting families by answering any general, educational or enrolment enquiries.

Mental Health Carers NSW and WayAhead are running a support group for someone living with experience of mental ill-health &/or recovery and their families & carers.

This is a structured group where attendees discuss set topics as well as sharing personal experiences and information in a safe, friendly and supportive environment. All discussions are conducted in Vietnamese.

The group is free of charge and there is no need to book attendance.

Join Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artisans at the iconic Blak Markets at Bare Island La Perouse Sunday, February 24 from 9:30am to 3pm.

Arts and Craft have always been a focus at the Blak Markets and this market they will have the famous shellworkers from La Perouse, Auntie Esme Timbery and Marilyn Russell doing a shellwork workshop and selling their art.

This market will also feature Native plants including bushfoods, which are being developed by Indigigrow, the other social enterprise arm of the charity who runs the Blak Markets. 

The Blak Markets are a great chance to buy authentic unique gifts  knowing that 100% of the profits go back into Aboriginal communities. The Blak Markets feature authentic, original and affordable Aboriginal artworks, beauty products and one-of-a-kind homewares and jewellery as well as Indigenous inspired food and refreshments.

Along with a dance performance, Aboriginal singer/songwriter, Maddi Lyn who has a deep passion for Country Music will be singing on the day, along with a interactive session for the kids with Larry Brandy Storytellers.
