Yoga for kids aged 2-5 years at PHIVE Parramatta is on! Babies and Toddlers are welcome from 6 months of age. The beauty of the Yoga Cubs class is that you can do casual visits or book a set of 8 classes for a discount. Yoga Cubs runs on Friday’s during school terms.
The aim of the classes is to let your little yogis embark on a journey of self-discovery and joy. They will be able to explore various elements of yoga and mindfulness in a playful and nurturing environment. Instructor DeeDee is fantastic with the kids. She is patient, engaging and really got the best out of them. Her activities kept them engaged and eager to particpate.
In the class, DeeDee used imaginative and age-appropriate yoga poses and movements. In each lesson, the children will embark on exciting yoga adventures, exploring their bodies and capabilities in a fun and interactive way. Children can also expect to groove and giggle along with original songs and games.
DeeDee also uses Djembe African drumming and movement (this was so much fun, the kids loved the drum and dancing with the scarves provided), meditation and relaxation, and mindful colouring-in. At the end the kids can also take a colouring in page home and get a stamp for their particpation.
The Yoga Cubs class is a great way to develop social skills, build confidence, develop focus, empathy and compassion and most importantly – have FUN!
