Described by streetlibrary.org.au as tiny vestibules of literary happiness for your neighbourhood, Street Libraries are a beautiful home for books, accessible on the street and are an invitation to share the joys of reading with your community.
The concept is simple – take a book and leave a book. You don’t need to check them in or out. Just reach in and take what interests you and when you are done you can return it to the Street Library network or pass it on to friends.
It’s a great way to recycle books, read new books and go on a little adventure. There are many in the area. In fact, there is probably one just around the corner from your home!
