If you’ve not yet visited Eden Gardens Macquarie Park, now is the time to check out this local gem! Set on 2.5 acres, Eden Gardens is a huge oasis hidden away on the edge of Lane Cove National Park.

This aspirational site features a restaurant, sprawling display garden, kids play area and retail outlet / nursery.

It’s a lovely place to:

  • enjoy an all-in-one outing that includes coffee for mum and playing and exploring for kids
  • take a friend or your mum/grandparents for lunch
  • host an event, from weddings to corporate events
  • get inspired for your own backyard

We’ll cover 4 components today:

  • the Garden Restaurant and Terrace Bar
  • the kids play area
  • the gardens
  • the shop

Gardens Restaurant & Terrace Bar

The Garden Restaurant and Terrace Bar has recently been taken over by a new chef who has designed a fabulous menu, every item delicious sounding, looking and based on what we ordered, tasting also!

The venue itself is spacious, bright, and green with plenty of space for prams with plenty of outdoor seating options spread out all over the lunch garden.

It’s a great restaurant to take your mum, grandma or group of colleagues, but equally, you can go for coffee and cake, which would be just as lovely!

Make sure to keep this one in mind for events too, with a range of indoor and outdoor spaces that can be used for a variety of purposes from weddings to corporate events.

Play Area

After lunch, the kids will love running down the ramp to visit the kids play area. While you can’t see the kids playing from the cafe section, consider it a good starting or ending point of a full garden tour!

The play area is great for kids under 5 and has:

  • a beehive cubby
  • a tunnel slide
  • sandpit
  • imaginative play objects

Gardens

The display gardens are spread over 2.5 acres (1.2 ha) and contain a huge array of plants that are rich in diversity, foliage and flower colour, and showcase a range of design styles in the seven exhibition beds. Take your time in this internationally recognised private garden, have a stroll and get lost among the forest of poplars.

Shop

Last but not least is their fantastic lifestyle store / nursery filled with the latest homewares and gifts and a huge range of indoor plants, pots and over 7000 plants, including many rare and unusual species that the most ardent plant hunter with be thrilled to find.

If you’re looking for some outdoor furniture, outdoor cushions, big or small indoor and outdoor pots, terrariums, garden care, ceramics and everything in between, you’ll just love shopping at the Eden Gardens store.
