Tell us about your background both personally and professionally
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Government & International Relations from the University of Sydney and a Master in Interpreting and Translation from the University of Western Sydney. I am a Certified Interpreter and a Translator. With over 10 years of experience in the government sector, i have worked with prominent institutions such as SBS Radio, the NSW Parliament and NSW Police. Currently, I am part of the team at Multicultural NSW, where my expertise in community engagement and language services continues to make a significant impact. I have lived with my husband and young son in the City of Parramatta for over 5 years now.
What are some things you love about your electorate?
- The community.
- The accessibility to public spaces and transport.
- The open green spaces.
- The safety.
What do you believe are the 3 main issues affecting your electorate and why?
- Lack of housing affordability and having to commute for work.
- Lack of youth spaces.
- Lack of adequate multicultural seniors activities and services.
What are the 3 key things you plan to achieve if elected?
- Protect our heritage and parks.
- Increase investment in our sporting grounds.
- Increase youth and seniors facilities and services.
What about your long term vision for the area?
Parramatta is a beautiful and vibrant city. It can definitely be a youth hub and a strong economy while preserving its heritage and multicultural identity.
