The Shen Yun Performing Arts returns to the Capitol Theatre in Sydney from 8 – 17 March as part of its 2024 global tour.
The New York-based Shen Yun was founded by Chinese artists in 2006, many of whom escaped oppression at the hands of China’s totalitarian regime – a regime that is at war with past traditions, religion, and its own history.
Today, these world-class artists preserve the traditions of China’s five-thousand-year culture, while celebrating artistic freedom and faith – around the world.
Featuring one of the world’s oldest art forms – classical Chinese dance – along with patented high-tech backdrops and a unique live orchestra, Shen Yun opens a portal to a civilisation of enchanting beauty and enlightening wisdom. Through classic stories of love, faith, heroism, and resilience, Shen Yun presents a universal message of hope and strength – for young and old alike.
