Elouera Reserve Playground, Macquarie Park

Elouera Reserve playground is currently standing out as one of the most impressive playground ‘upgrades’ we’ve seen of late, and let’s face it – there’s been quite a few.

Set on Waterloo Road opposite Macquarie Centre (near the Macquarie Uni train station), Elouera Reserve playground can be enjoyed by a whole range of people including families, students and those working in offices or shops nearby. Its large, open space and abundance of seating make it a great place for people to spend their lunch break or for families to spend some time outdoors.

This colourful playground has some awesome features including:

  • pods (that light up at night!)
  • 3 big slides
  • 6 swings
  • a spinner net
  • mini built-in trampolines
  • a flying fox / cable ride
  • BBQs
  • plenty of seating
  • tables with umbrella shades
  • a grassy area
  • beautiful landscaping

Elouera Reserve playground is one that older children will just love, with plenty of challenges and discoveries to be had. It is also more suited to older children due to the fact that it’s not fully fenced. The reserve is used as a walkway for pedestrians going to and from the station, University, work or the shopping centre, hence the wide openings on both sides.

This playground is a great spot to bring the kids to meet a working family member or friend, but do not forget hats or sunscreen as this playground has very little shade!

Getting there

Elouera Reserve playground is so close to the station that catching the train might be a great option. If you’re planning on driving, try parking on Lachlan Avenue. This will be the closest and safest option given the playgrounds’ proximity to main roads.
