3 Awesome BMX Tracks at Sydney Olympic Park

Got a keen rider? Here are 3 awesome BMX tracks at Sydney Olympic Park, including info on parking and other hot tips! Check out our Instagram reel for more info.

1. Haslams Pump Track – Best for All Ages

Smooth, flowing dirt tracks made for kids on bikes, scooters and balance bikes.

  • Three pump tracks: beginner, intermediate and advanced
  • Suitable for toddlers on balance bikes through to confident riders
  • Short signed walk from P5 car park – pram-friendly
  • Picnic tables/grass areas nearby for snacks and rests
  • No booking needed, just bring your wheels and helmet

2. Monster BMX & Mountain X Track – For Big Kids & Teens

Adventurous outdoor dirt track with real jumps and berms.

  • 306m BMX track plus a separate Mountain X (downhill trail-style track)
  • Best for kids around 10+ who can ride confidently
  • Open to the public outside Sydney BMX Club training or race days
  • Helmets necessary – gloves and long sleeves/pants strongly recommended
  • No foam pit or indoor ramps here — that’s at Monster Skatepark (nearby but a separate facility)

💡 Tip: Check Sydney BMX Club schedule if visiting on weekends so the track isn’t closed for training.

3. Hill Rd Dirt Track – For Confident Off-Road Riders

More rugged and less structured, great for kids who like adventure.

  • Natural dirt jumps and trails near the Archery Centre / Hill Rd
  • No shade, water, toilets or seats — it’s a bring-your-own-everything kind of spot
  • Best suited to confident riders who love bumps, dirt and a challenge
  • Not an official track, more of a local favourite riding spot

What to Pack

✔ Bikes/scooters/balance bikes
✔ Helmets (required) + gloves for older kids
✔ Water, snacks and hats (limited shade)
✔ Picnic rug or camp chairs if you’re staying a while
✔ Closed shoes (no thongs or sandals)

Why Families Love It

  • Free tracks in a safe, open park setting
  • Options for little learners through to daredevil teens
  • There are toilets about a 5-minute walk away
  • Make a full day of it: ride → picnic → head to a playground
