St Ives Village Green Playground and Skate Park

You KNOW we love a new playground opening, and this one is a good’n. Not only is the playground itself great fun, but it’s located right next to St Ives Shopping Village. It’s also next to a really cool skatepark, which reopened early 2022 after a big upgrade, so in case you weren’t aware, St Ives Village Green has a whole lot going for it right now! See our Instagram Reel here.

St Ives Village Green is one of Ku-ring-gai’s largest sports facilities and is fully equipped with four baseball diamonds, four floodlit tennis courts (dual-marked for netball), the aforementioned skate park and a fantastic playground. This venue hosts several community events throughout the year, including Festival on the Green and Food & Wine Festival.

In terms of proximity to St Ives Shopping Village, it’s RIGHT next to it – only a few steps away. We love this because it means you don’t have to jump back in the car to get lunch, go grocery shopping, grab a coffee or whatever else you might need to do.

The playground is a great size and has plenty of equipment for children aged 2-10 years, including:

  • Climbing tower
  • Slides of varying sizes
  • Toddler area with ropes, nets, and more slides
  • Swings (lots of them!)
  • Monkey bars
  • Nature play

As for the things the adults want to know about, it has:

  • sunshades around the park and seating areas
  • lots of seating
  • secure fencing the whole way around
  • toilets
  • free parking for up to 3 hours!

Getting there

St Ives Village Green is located at Village Green Parade, St Ives. The Shopping Village offers plenty of free parking for up to 3 hours.
