Occasionally, a rare opportunity presents itself to us mums to do something child-free. To leave the house dressed in nice clothes, with a bit of lippy, maybe even blow-dried hair or shoes with some height and that weird feeling of freedom. If the stars align and the clouds part, we might even be on time! (But don’t count on it.) This kind of thing doesn’t happen very often, so when it does, you better believe it’s for a good reason.
