After more than five years, one of Sydney’s most iconic swimming spots is finally ready to welcome swimmers back.
North Sydney Olympic Pool will reopen on Friday, 7th August 2026, coinciding with the harbourside pool’s 90th anniversary.
What’s Inside The New Pool Complex?
The extensively redeveloped facility now includes:
- Heated 50-metre outdoor pool with spectacular harbour views
- Heated 25-metre indoor lap pool
- Heated indoor program pool
- Heated outdoor children’s pool
- Children’s splash pad
- Spa, sauna and steam room
- Gym and group fitness studios
- Dedicated Reformer Pilates studio
- Harbourside sundeck
- Café and gelato bar
- Crèche
The pool first opened in 1936 and has been the setting for 86 world records. Its location between Luna Park and the Sydney Harbour Bridge has also made it one of Australia’s most recognisable swimming venues.
Standard opening hours will be 5.30am–9.30pm Monday to Friday and 7am–7pm on weekends.
