Louis George, a part of the Roy Maggio Independent party in Central Ward.
Tell us about your background both personally and professionally
Local Putney resident for over 12 years. My children attended St Charles where I was a willing participant in the wider school community as President of the P&F for a couple of years. I am a business owner who deals primarily with small businesses as a supplier of digital equipment for retail stores across the country. For fun I am a dedicated go kart racer who travels across NSW to race at various tracks on a regular basis.
What are some things you love about your electorate?
The area is very family orientated with representation from all races, colour & creed making it a place for all.
What do you believe are the 3 main issues affecting your electorate and why?
- Cost of living pressures as part of the wider economic reality
- Major party squabbling at federal and state level filtering to local council level impacting the local community
- Council direction eg. what is happening with the Civic centre??
What is your long term vision for the area?
- Cost of Living Relief – Stop the Waste & Reduce RED TAPE
- Amplifying Community Voice . Active Forums & Continuous Feedback
- Enhance Community Recreational/Sporting Facilities & Access
