Some of the educators have been part of the centre for decades, including one much-loved team member who has cared for two generations of local families. With only 38 children enrolled, all staff know every child by name, and families genuinely feel like part of the extended Little Voyagers family.

Learning That Sparks Joy
At Little Voyagers, learning is all about getting stuck in and having fun. The educators always have something exciting set up and ready to go—whether it’s painting, building, exploring or creating. Right now, the children are exploring a Transport theme, which recently included a real fire truck visit. There’s also a special table set up for Reconciliation Week to help children learn about and connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
They’ve even launched an Around the World project, recently focusing on England, complete with classical music inspired by Bridgerton playing softly in the background.
Outdoor Spaces That Inspire
The outdoor area at Little Voyagers has been thoughtfully renovated, blending modern upgrades with touches of nostalgia. Families love that the team preserved the original cubby house and tree, knowing how many beautiful memories are tied to them.
The new space includes a bike track, sandpit, and plenty of room for active, imaginative outdoor play. And whenever the sun is shining, the children enjoy their meals outside, soaking up the fresh air and natural surroundings.
Nutritious Meals, All Day Long
Little Voyagers partners with Kids Gourmet Food to provide nutritious, delicious meals throughout the day, including breakfast (if needed), morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack.
The menu is thoughtfully put together to support children’s nutrition, with plenty of vegetables, whole grains, protein, and seasonal fruit included throughout the day. Meals are balanced and varied, helping kids build healthy eating habits while trying a range of different foods.
Prepping for Big School (and Life!)
Children aged 4 and above take part in a dedicated school readiness program, designed to build confidence, literacy and numeracy skills in the lead-up to kindergarten. Each child receives a school readiness book to support their learning journey, and parents are given a free Reading Eggs subscription to continue the fun and learning at home.
Excursions and incursions are also part of the Little Voyagers experience. Recently, the children visited a local primary school library, where they were read to by Year 5 students. They’ve had a visit from the fire department, with police and baby chicks due to visit soon!
