Exciting adventures, cool activities, super sports and awesome creations await at Macquarie University’s school holiday programs.
Is your child a budding scientist? Do they enjoy art, drama, cooking and games? From swimming and gymnastics to science and robots — Macquarie’s school holiday programs have you covered with age-appropriate activities for children between the ages of five and 15.
Junior Science Academy and Junior Creative Academy
Explore, experiment, and create with the Junior Science Academy (JSA) and Junior Creative Academy (JCA). Our hands-on, fun, and educational classes provide primary school-aged children with the opportunity to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) in a safe and supportive environment.
Think dinosaurs, explosions, human biology, robotics, coding, painting, drawing and so much more! Our full-day classes will keep your kids entertained and build their passion for science and the arts. You can come for just one class, or visit us every day!
- Dates and times:
- 16th–23th December 2024 and 6th–30th January 2025 (excluding weekends and public holidays)
- 8.30am / 9.30am til 4pm / 5pm
- Note: The first week of the program falls within Term 4 for public schools. Some independent schools have holidays at this time. Please check your school’s holiday dates prior to booking.
- Cost: $150 per day. The Academies are not registered for the Child Care Subsidy and no Government rebates are available.
- Location: 13 Hadenfeld Ave, Macquarie University. Free temporary parking will be available in designated areas for drop-off and pick-up of children only.

Gymnastics Fun at Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre
The Gymnastics School Holiday Program offers a variety of gymnastics-specific workshops and activities. Each workshop is designed to enhance gymnastics abilities through engaging, expert-led sessions and provide each child with a safe space to learn, play and have fun.

Waratah Cottage Vacation Care
Our program is packed with exciting and engaging activities to keep your children’s minds and bodies active during the school holidays. There are many adventures to have, from art and craft, dancing and experimenting, to exciting incursions and excursions planned throughout the holidays for you to choose from.
Program runs 7.30am – 6.30pm and is suitable for children aged 5-12 years. All meals and snacks are provided. Waratah Cottage is an approved service and CCS may apply.
