FINALLY! Climb Fit has Opened at Macquarie Park

We’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of Climb Fit Macquarie after recently visiting for a sneak peek. Once in, we couldn’t get the kids out and they’ve been begging to go back ever since. And now they can!

Climbing

Climb Fit Macquarie is Climb Fit’s third Sydney location, with the others in St Leonards and Kirrawee. Having been in the biz for 26 years, Climb Fit has been able to create a facility that caters to all kinds of climbing and training. Their state-of-the-art WALLTOPIA build brings all their best features with something for every member of the family.

Climb Fit Macquarie has more bouldering than ever, almost 100 top rope routes, a HUGE kids climbing area, an augmented reality wall auto belays and a mega kilterboard.

There’s something compelling about the space – we went for the kids but ended up climbing ourselves! Starting at the easy climbs, we found our feet pretty quickly, feeling chuffed that we could then attempt some of the more challenging climbs. Exercising without realising it is always an added bonus too!

Beyond The Climb

We know the climbing is great, but what else do they have going for them?

They have:

  • plenty of parking
  • a cafe onsite
  • offer kids parties
  • after-school coaching and technique workshops for adults.
  • large fitness gym with weights area and cardio machines
  • designated Yoga/Group exercise space

Top Tips

  • Kids from 4+ can climb but you’ll need to spot them from the ground.
  • Go early morning or later in the arvo to skip the busiest time of day.
  • Make sure kids wear comfy activewear and closed-in shoes (joggers). Leggings, 3/4 tights or shorts.
  • Keep this one in mind for a rainy day, first date or a fun way to keep fit.

The Details

Opening Hours: 6am to 10pm Mon-Fri and 8am to 8pm Weekends.

Location: 3 Waterloo Road, Macquarie Park – a 5-minute walk from Macquarie Park Train Station and right next door to the Governor Hotel.
