Tell us a bit about yourself — family, background, and why you’re running.
Parramatta is where Australia’s future is being built — diverse, ambitious, and full of young families like ours.
My wife and I are raising our young kids here in Parramatta. We know firsthand how important safe streets, good schools, affordable childcare, and strong healthcare are.
Before politics, I built a successful business and worked as an economist, including helping steer Australia through the Global Financial Crisis.
What’s your plan to help local families with the rising cost of living — especially around groceries, housing, and childcare?
Stronger Medicare and cheaper medicines through the PBS — saving families hundreds every year.
The biggest overhaul of women’s healthcare in a generation — affordable reproductive care, fertility, menopause, and mental health support.
Cheaper childcare for over 7,000 local families — and if re-elected, we’ll guarantee three days of subsidised care for every child.
Helping first home buyers with government support for a 5% deposit — making it easier for local families to own their own home.
Tougher supermarket rules to keep grocery prices fair.
What will you do to improve access to healthcare services in our area, including bulk billing, mental health support, and specialist care for families?
More free care, faster: Two new Medicare Urgent Care Clinics nearby at Wentworthville and Top Ryde — open 7 days, bulk billed.
Better mental health support: A new Medicare Mental Health Centre opening soon in Epping, plus one already open in the Parramatta CBD. We will also boost funding to Parramatta Headspace, so it is easier for you to access free mental health care.
Stronger bulk billing: We’ve boosted incentives so it’s cheaper to see a GP, and launched 1800 Medicare for bulk billed telehealth sessions over the phone.
Better healthcare for women: Investing in affordable care for reproductive health, endometriosis, menopause, and fertility.
Affordable, accessible healthcare close to home — that’s my focus.
What are your top 3 priorities for the Parramatta electorate if you’re elected?
Cost of Living Relief: Cutting the cost of groceries, housing, medicines, and childcare — putting real savings back into local families’ pockets.
Better Local Healthcare: Expanding urgent care, mental health support, and women’s health services — so families can get the care they need, close to home.
Building a Stronger Community: Upgrading local schools, parks, and roads — including fixing Epping Bridge for a faster, safer journey and delivering new facilities at Thomas Mitchell Reserve for local families and sporting clubs.
What are your top 3 favourite local spots in the Parramatta area? Bonus points for a hidden gem!
Parramatta River Foreshore: A great spot for a walk, bike ride, or just enjoying time outdoors with the family.
Lake Parramatta Reserve: A hidden gem for bushwalks, swims, and family picnics.
The historic parklands around Rosehill: Walking through sites like Elizabeth Farm, Experiment Farm, and Hambledon Cottage reminds you just how deep Parramatta’s roots run — it’s a special part of our story.
