“Boasting a central location close to the City and Macquarie Park and with access to great transport links, it’s easy to see why DENISTONE East is a high demand market. With beautiful parks and a nice mixture of new and old homes generally set on great size blocks it offers the perfect family haven. The major drawcard is undoubtedly Denistone East Public School. It is among the highest ranking Primary Schools in the State and its catchment area is in part what makes Denistone East a popular purchasing suburb. The current demographic is families with teenagers still living at home, although young families and busy professionals are starting to realise Denistone Easts future potential. ” Michael Dowling, McGrath Ryde

Transport

History

Denistone East only became its own suburb in its own right in 1999, before which it was considered Ryde. Its heart is at the intersection of Cecil Street, Lovell Road, Quarry Road and North Road, where Midway Shopping Centre is situated. These roads converge into an elongated figure of 8 roundabout. Midway Shops was first built in 1960 starting with just 5 shops and has now grown to 20 retailers.
