Camping on Cockatoo Island

Camping packages for Cockatoo Island’s  New Year’s Eve extravaganza are on sale from the 18th of June and are inclusive of all entertainment for the little (and big) kids. One and two night stays start from $450, tents sleeping four to six people and include tent, sleeping mats and chairs. Camping sites for BYO tents are also available. Book here!

 

 

New Year’s Eve program of events

Not only does a stay on Cockatoo Island for New Year’s Eve bring the best views of the Sydney Harbour fireworks, but there are activities to suit all ages spread over 30 and 31 December. From movie marathons to exciting outdoor adventures, the new and improved Cockatoo Island New Year’s Eve program is bigger and better than ever, check out what’s on below:

Sunday 30 December

  • All day – Kid’s Scooter Track
  • 12pm – Crooked Characters Tour
  • From 7pm – Selection of films at Wolverine Cinema

Monday 31 December

  • All day – Kid’s Scooter Track
  • 11am – 4pm – Kid’s art activities, plaster painting and face painting
  • 11am and 1pm – Kid’s Yoga
  • 12pm – Crooked Characters Tour
  • From 2pm – Selection of films at Wolverine Cinema
  • 6pm – 8pm: Backyard Sessions
  • 9pm – midnight – Backyard Mashup

 

Getting to Cockatoo Island on New Year’s Eve

Parking options and a ferry shuttle service will be available for all guests to staying at Cockatoo Island on New Year’s Eve. Car park bookings are available at the time of accommodation confirmation and a ferry will transport guests over to the Island. The shuttle service runs from 30 December until 1 January 2019.
