Supporting students from Kindergarten to Year 12, the centre offers Maths and English tutoring, including NAPLAN, OC, Selective and HSC preparation.
Confidence First, Results Follow
The team at Success Tutoring believes students learn best when they feel supported, capable and motivated. Rather than simply rushing through homework, their focus is on identifying learning gaps, strengthening foundations, and helping students genuinely understand concepts so they can build confidence over time.
Students attend one-hour small group sessions with a maximum 1:6 ratio, allowing tutors to provide personalised support while still creating a focused and encouraging learning environment.
What Happens During the Free Assessment?
Every child starts with a free NSW syllabus-aligned assessment, which takes around 40 minutes to complete. While students sit their assessment, parents are shown through the centre, introduced to the tutoring programs, and can discuss their child’s goals and any concerns with the team.
Once the assessment is completed, tutors mark the work immediately and go through the results with parents, identifying strengths, learning gaps, and the best next steps.
From there, each child receives their own personalised learning folder and structured learning plan tailored specifically to their needs.
Filling Learning Gaps First
One thing the tutors consistently see is students struggling with current schoolwork because of gaps from previous years. Instead of only focusing on the homework in front of them, Success Tutoring prioritises fixing those gaps first, helping students properly understand foundational concepts before moving ahead.
Students work through their own tailored program at their own pace, with tutors marking work, reviewing mistakes, revisiting concepts and providing homework to reinforce learning at home.
After every lesson, parents receive feedback emails outlining progress and areas being worked on. Students also earn dojo points throughout the program, helping keep learning motivating and rewarding. These points can be exchanged for small rewards including bubble guns, fun pens, notebooks, puzzle games, hair accessories and more.
At the end of every 10 lessons, students complete a progress test, with tutors aiming for 90% mastery before moving onto the next syllabus area.
Building Independent Learners
Homework is used to reinforce what students learn during sessions, but the team takes a supportive approach. There’s no pressure placed on parents if homework isn’t completed or if students find it difficult. Instead, students are encouraged to bring homework back in, discuss where they got stuck, and work through it with their tutor.
The team says this process plays an important role in building communication skills, resilience and confidence — particularly helping students become more comfortable asking questions and participating independently at school.
When we toured the centre, we saw tutors actively working through examples and discussing questions individually with students. The students were focused and engaged, and the level of care and support from the tutors was obvious throughout the session.
Support That Aligns With School
Primary and high school students can also bring in school homework, assignments and assessment tasks for additional support. For secondary students especially, tutors request each child’s school scope and sequence so they can align tutoring content with what students are currently learning in class.
This helps students stay on track with school topics, prepare ahead for assessments, and feel more confident during exams. When school test results come back, tutors carefully review them with students, go through incorrect answers, and provide additional practise in weaker areas.
The aim is to help students learn from every assessment rather than simply moving on and allowing gaps to grow larger over time.

The centre is open six days a week, giving families flexibility around school, sport and other commitments. And with its convenient location beside Epping Station, many students can head straight to tutoring after school without parents needing to coordinate extra driving.
