Little & Loved Early Learning Centre, Gladesville

We visited Little & Loved Early Learning Centre in Gladesville, a boutique 36-place centre located next to Our Lady Queen of Peace (OLQP) Primary School, and were instantly struck by its warm, welcoming atmosphere and personalised approach to care.

Educators described a centre where every child is known, valued, and nurtured, enjoying inspiring play-based activities and thoughtful school readiness programs in a home-like environment where learning feels natural and joyful.

We have lots to share about what makes this centre so special for young learners!

A Beautiful, Home-Like Setting

Little & Loved has a light, bright, and open feel, with indoor and outdoor spaces that are natural, calming, and designed to spark curiosity. The outdoor bike track is a big hit, along with the garden and play areas, giving kids plenty of space to run, explore, and build confidence.

When we visited, the children were busy planting veggies and herbs, completely absorbed in the experience. They clearly loved getting their hands in the soil and took real pride in caring for their garden—such a great way to connect with nature and learn about the food they eat!

A Personalised Approach to Early Learning

From the very first day, Little & Loved makes sure to prioritise understanding each child as an individual. Parents are invited to sit down with the team to share their child’s interests, needs, and what makes them feel comfortable and safe. This foundation ensures that every child feels secure, seen, and nurtured in their learning journey.

With a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, the centre emphasises play-based learning. Classrooms are thoughtfully designed with natural elements and loose parts, allowing children to explore, create, and take ownership of their projects. Educators keenly listen to children’s conversations and incorporate their interests into learning experiences—whether it’s starting a gardening project after hearing little ones talk about gardening at home or using fresh herbs from the garden in cooking activities.

Enriching Experiences: Cooking, Music, Sports & More

Learning extends beyond the classroom, with a range of enrichment programs designed to foster creativity, movement, and essential life skills.

  • Cooking lessons – incorporate literacy, numeracy, and fine motor skills.
  • Music and movement – sessions with a specialist educator encourage self-expression.
  • Piano Lessons coming soon – a piano teacher will offer semi-private lessons.
  • Soccer sessions – Little Kickers provide lessons that keep little ones active and engaged.
  • A resident bunny – provides a special daily ritual where children help feed and care for their furry friend, teaching responsibility and empathy.

With a focus on school readiness for older children, Little & Loved also supports children transitioning to primary school. An OLQP teacher visits to help children prepare for ‘big school’ with practical skills such as packing school bags, lunchbox independence, and transitioning into a structured learning environment.

Exceptional In-House Catering

Nutrition is a top priority at Little & Loved, and the in-house chef, Rocky, prepares fresh, delicious meals five days a week, catering to individual dietary needs and preferences. From breakfast to afternoon tea, every dish is made with care, ensuring children receive the nourishment they need to thrive.

Small Centre, Big Heart

One of the standout features of Little & Loved is its tight-knit community. As a boutique centre, every educator knows every child, fostering strong relationships and a genuine sense of belonging. No child ever feels lost in the crowd—each one receives dedicated attention to support their development.

Offering the best of both worlds—preschool-style learning with daycare hours—Little & Loved is more than just an early learning centre; it’s a warm, inspiring community where every child is cherished.
