Keep Your Kids Busy at Emerge Festival

Children will be delighted this spring with a collection of colourful and creative COVID-safe community events, workshops and activities at the Emerge Festival.

Hosted by Willoughby City Council, Emerge Festival is the North Shore’s brightest spring festival presenting a fantastic range of activities for children and families. Highlights include:

 

River Spotlight Walk

  • When: Friday, 11 September 2020, 7 to 8:30pm
  • Where: Mowbray Park, Rotary Athletic Field, Mowbray Road
  • Look out for shining eyes and silent swooping from above. Bring a torch!

Come and Try Orienteering

  • When: Saturday, 19 September, 9:30 to 11:30 am
  • Where: Start at Willoughby Leisure Centre
  • Explore the stunning environment of Willoughby City by trying orienteering, a navigation sport for all ages and fitness levels.

Preschoolers’ September Bush Scramble

  • When: Thursday, 24 September 2020, 10 to 11:30am
  • Where: Murston Park, Eden Street, Chatswood
  • Meet Patsy the Park fairy and help her look after the new spring babies.

Creative Sounds Studio Open Day

  • When: Saturday, 26 September 2020, 9am to 5pm
  • Where: Creative Sounds Studios, 128B Mowbray Rd, Willoughby
  • Unleash your inner performer with free music lessons in a special open day at Creative Studios in Willoughby.

Globalart Australia – Art Exhibition and Activities

  • When: Sunday 27 September, 4 and 11 October 2020, 10am to 4pm
  • Where: Globalart, Suit 1 430 Victoria Av, Chatswood
  • Children are invited to visit Globalart at their Chatswood Studio to make a small handicraft, enjoy an exhibition of children’s artworks and take part in a free trial drawing lesson.
