Did you know there are 16 filtered water stations throughout the City of Ryde where you can get fresh water while you and your family are out and about? This list doesn’t even include the old school bubblers and there are plenty of those around. An extra awesome feature of the stations is that many of them include a dog water bowl.
We absolutely love these filtered waterer stations as they encourage multi-use water bottle usage and help keep plastic containers from landfills and it’s FREE and FRESH! A fun fact we learned from the Mayor of Ryde is that in the 6-month period (July–December 2017) 8,445 litres of water were consumed, which is the equivalent of 14,075 single-use plastic water bottles (600ml) not being produced and potentially littered in our environment. We hope to see more and more of these stations popping up around our area.
