Country Women’s Association (CWA) Tea Rooms – Eastwood

The most wholesome thing we’ve done in a long time – we had Devonshire tea at the CWA tea room in Eastwood! Our scones were made by 93-year-old Barbara and they were PERFECTION!

Located at the Women’s Rest Centre near the oval (behind the library), the Eastwood-Epping branch is 1 of 5 branches across Sydney but the ONLY tea room! We’re so lucky it’s on our doorstep, and did you know it’s entirely run by volunteers? They’re always looking for more, by the way, and shifts are only 3 hours whenever you can manage them. Do you know anyone who might be interested?

The lovely staff at the tea rooms welcome all types of customers of all ages including mothers groups, craft groups and more. Parents will appreciate the large, clean bathroom with a baby change table.

Our kids loved their cordial (.50c a glass) and house-made shortbread biscuits (also .50c!) while we thoroughly enjoyed our Devonshire tea (2 scones with tea or coffee $6). Afterwards we did a spot of shopping from their range of handicrafts, purchasing honey, jam, some knitted baby clothes (cardigan & beanie) and some children’s books.

It was an absolutely lovely morning out – you could even get takeaway scones and head to the park on the Oval.

No doubt your parents, nan or pop would adore a morning tea like this – keep it in mind!! They’re open Tuesday to Friday 10am-3pm and would love to see you.

All monies raised by the CWA are distributed to various charities such as the Royal Flying Doctors Service, NSW disaster fund and many more.

Did you know CWA Eastwood sells bulk scones? Any quantity you like, with a few weeks notice – think fundraisers, baby showers, work events etc.

? We parked in the main Eastwood shopping centre car park – it was a 2 minute walk to the Women’s Rest Centre.
