Austgrade Swim School in Top Ryde City Shopping Centre just screams convenience, whilst also getting quality swimming lessons for your child. Their lessons for babies to teens are convenient, effective and Small Class Swimming Lessons.

You will find Austgrade Swim School in the B2 carpark (pink level) at Top Ryde City Shopping Centre in their custom-built school centre. Inside, you will find heaps of parent seating overlooking the pool so you can easily work, enjoy a coffee and watch your child’s swimming lesson.

What we love about this location is that you can easily park right out the front, drop your child off at their swimming lesson and then you have the choice to pop into the shops should you need to or stay and watch their lessons.

All classes are held in the afternoons for weekdays (open Monday to Friday 2pm – 6.30pm) and weekends 8.30am to 2pm. They are also taking expressions of interest for weekday morning lessons – if this is of interest to you, please contact them via email here.

Child Assessments

All children are assessed at a maximum of 6-week intervals. Each weekday afternoon, there is one pool deck supervisor floating between classes and two on the weekend.

Pool Facilities

The centre has 2 pools, both of which are 1.2m deep and heated to 32 degrees year-round.

They have large charge rooms with change table facilities available and an accessible change room and shower.

Up until the age of 3, a parent accompanies their child in the water for their lesson.

How to Enrol

All enrolments are done online on their website. To find the appropriate class or level, please select find your level on their website. If you need assistance, you can contact their friendly team here. On your child’s first lesson, the Austgrade Team will assess your child to ensure the correct level. If needed, they will move your child up or down based on what is required and suitable for your child. Once enrolled, all students receive a waterproof Swimbag to collect from reception upon their first visit.

Classes are charged monthly at $28 per lesson for all levels except for Yabby and Platypus, which are $30 (these 2 are 45-minute classes versus the rest being 30 mins).

Private classes are $75 per 30min and Semi-Private classes – minimum 2 kids ($40 per child)

Austgrade offers a 60 day make up policy.

Class Sizes and available discounts

Austgrade beginner classes have a maximum of 3 students, and intermediate maximum of 4 students.

Discounts apply for students enrolled into more than 1 lesson a week (15% across all lessons). There is also a 10% discount across all lessons for parents with 3 or more children enrolled.
