Burwood Park has raised the bar for local playgrounds with a vibrant $5.5 million makeover! Perfect for a day out with the kiddies, this revamped green oasis now features an expansive new playground, a sensory garden, and even a refreshed pond, providing an engaging experience for kids of all ages.

Playground Features

The star attraction is the brand-new, nature-themed playground designed with tweens in mind, which now sits alongside the park’s original, smaller fenced playground for younger children. This innovative addition gives families a variety of play options that cater to a wide age range, making Burwood Park an ideal spot for both toddlers and older kids to explore and enjoy.

It features:

  • a series of accessible ramps
  • a large multi-level play structure
  • interactive panels
  • inclusive play equipment designed to accommodate wheelchairs
  • sensory elements like musical instruments and textured surfaces
  • various slides
  • swings
  • a sand play area

These improvements aim to foster social interaction and inclusive play, making the playground welcoming to all children and families in the community
