Looking for fun and supportive school holiday activities? Protea Occupational Therapy’s holiday groups help children build confidence, social connection, emotional regulation and everyday skills through play, creativity and hands-on experiences.

Led by experienced Occupational Therapists, our groups provide a safe, supportive environment where children can develop skills that support success at school, home and with friendships.

Protea Occupational Therapy is a paediatric OT service using a neuroaffirming, strengths-based approach to help children feel capable, connected and understood.

We support children with:
• Emotional regulation and behaviour support
• Social skills and friendship development
• Sensory processing differences
• Fine and gross motor development
• Confidence and independence in daily routines

🌟 Holiday Group Programs

Handwriting Wizards – Fine Motor Skills:

Build confidence, improve legibility, and develop essential writing skills in a fun, supportive environment! Our small-group sessions focus on:

Fine Motor Skills
Letter formation
Spacing and sizing
Pencil control and posture
Writing fluency and endurance

📅 Dates: Friday 10^th of July (Monday 6^th of July is booked out!)
🕤 Time: 1pm-3pm

Girls Group – Social & Emotional Skills: A fun, supportive group for building social connection, emotional understanding, and confidence with peers. Children will explore:

Friendship skills and neuro-affirming social understanding
Understanding emotions and regulation strategies
Confidence in social situations
Flexible thinking and problem-solving

📅 Dates: 7th, 8th, 9th & 16th July. Families are welcome to book one session or multiple days, with no requirement to attend all sessions.
🕤 Time: 9:30am – 12:30pm

Mini Makers Club – Creativity & Social Skills: A hands-on OT group where imagination leads the way. Children design, build, and create using recycled and everyday materials. This group supports:

Friendship skills and neuro-affirming social understanding
Creativity and flexible thinking
Planning, problem solving, and persistence
Fine motor and hand skills
Social interaction through shared projects

📅 Dates: 10th, 13th, 14th & 15th July. Families are welcome to book into one session or attend multiple days. There’s no requirement to attend all, so you can choose what works best for your child and schedule.
