Hornsby Shire Council’s fantastic playground upgrade at the popular Brickpit Park in Thornleigh now has an awesome junior ninja warrior course, a waterplay area, and more. Here are the deets!
Junior Ninja Warrior Course
Great for older children up to 12 or 13 years of age, this challenging course is the first-ever junior ninja warrior course in the Shire. They can race against the clock on the real-life solar-powered stopwatch to test their skills.
Cool Down with Waterplay
Beat the heat with refreshing in-ground water sprays. Perfect for keeping kids cool as the weather warms up. Our toddlers loved it.
Something for Everyone
The playground caters to all ages and abilities. Explore nature play elements, enjoy inclusive play equipment, or the classic favourites like trampolines, swings, climbing structures, and the flying fox.
Parent Faves
Some parts of the park have shade sails, and mature trees offer additional protection however, a few more shade sails wouldn’t go astray! We do love that it’s fully fenced! The park will see further improvements with a pedestrian circuit path and an off-leash dog park expected by mid-2025.

Accessible toilets completed last year, water stations, a dedicared carpark and plenty of picnic tables!
The Historical Factor
The playground design pays homage to the park’s past as a brickworks. A unique brick wall showcases heritage bricks donated by a local collector, and ground details reference the National Brickworks Co.

Brickpit Park Playground is located at 1A Dartford Rd, Thornleigh near the Thornleigh Driving Range, Mini-Golf, and Brickpit Sports Stadium. Parking can be found on-ste.
