Children of all ages can drop into a FREE weekend theatre and poster-making workshop, where they can create original characters, experiment with pre-made backgrounds and build imaginative paper worlds.
Powerhouse Young Writers’ Challenge with Andy Griffiths
Have a young writer at home? Kids can also take part in the Powerhouse Young Writers’ Challenge with Andy Griffiths, submitting a creative story inspired by objects he selected from the exhibition. Everyone who enters will be invited to a special celebration event in March with Andy Griffiths, celebrating creativity and storytelling.

Families can also explore the exhibition itself – Powerhouse Materials: Paper, curated by Andy Griffiths. Discover funny and whimsical objects, pick up a free booklet filled with writing and drawing prompts, and write and send a letter to Andy via the treehouse letterbox.
