SATURDAY 24 MARCH 2018 | 9 am – 3.30 pm

There’s something for everyone at the annual West Ryde Easter Parade & Fair!

Proceedings begin at 9.15 am with the traditional Easter Parade from Miriam Park to the town centre.

There will also be market stalls with a range of international foods and local information. For families and kids there will be rides, games, entertainment including an animal farm, reptiles and a big slide.

2017 WEST RYDE EASTER PARADE AND FAIR

On the day, there were market stalls with a range of international foods and local information at the Easter Fair in the West Ryde Plaza, Graf Ave and Market Street. For families and kids there were rides, games, entertainment including an animal farm, reptiles, wild life animals and a big slide. Competitions included Best Decorated Wheels Competition (bicycles, prams, scooters etc), Bonnet competition and Singing Star Contest.

Kindergym Free Trial

Do you have a little one under 5 years? Are you interested in developing their social, cognitive, and physical skills while preparing them for school? Our Kindergym programs aim to assist in healthy development and learning through play.

From May 13^th to May 26^th, we are offering one FREE trial class for our Kindergym programs!

Our Kindergym programs include:

Play Gym: Ages 12 months to 2 years.

In the Play Gym class, coaches and parents/caregivers work together in the class to support our little gymnasts. Learning and exploring through play, little gymnasts can develop their problem-solving skills, safe risk taking and fundamental movement skills.

Mini Gym: Ages 18 months to 3 years

In the Mini Gym class, coaches and parents work together in the class to support our little gymnasts to discover more about their surroundings, begin to develop fundamental movement skills, and develop coordination and motor skills.

Junior Gym: Ages 3 to 5 years

In the Junior Gym class, coaches work with their little gymnasts to develop school ready behaviours. Children learn fundamental gymnastics skills and motor movements, using all apparatus over a two-week

Seussical the Musical

Seussical is a magical musical extravaganza that brings your favourite Dr Seuss characters to life in a colourful production that’s fun for the whole family.

Woven throughout the story are powerful messages of inclusion, equality, friendship, loyalty, advocacy and standing up for others who don’t have a voice. With colourful costumes, catchy songs and an incredibly talented cast, it’s a show not to be missed!

Cork & Fork Putney

Sip, swirl and taste your way through the 2024 Cork & Fork by the Riverside.

On Sunday 26 May 2024, Cork & Fork by the Riverside is set to return to Kissing Point Park, Putney. Enjoy a fantastic day out with family and friends along the picturesque Parramatta River while enjoying free tasting samples from a range of boutique wines from the Orange and Hunter Valley regions, locally made spirits and craft beer. Bring a picnic rug and grab some food from the food trucks as you listen to music from talented artists. Bring the kids along as there are lots of activities for them to enjoy including ponies and amusement rides.

Entry into Cork & Fork by the Riverside is free of charge. If you would like to drink alcohol from the range of breweries, distilleries, and wineries attending the event, you can purchase a Cork & Fork by the Riverside glass for $10, this will include free tastings. If you like what you sip, full glasses can be purchased individually from stallholders.

The City of Ryde events team will monitor the weather leading up to the event and will notify the public of any updates via the Council’s website and Facebook page.
