Interactive Workshop for Parents ‘Siblings of Children with Disability’ Presented by Kate Strohm Director, Siblings Australia Inc. & Author of Siblings: Brothers and Sisters of Children with Disability (2014 revised edition, Wakefield Press)

Venue: Wallace Freeborn Room, Kolling Building Royal North Shore Hospital, Reserve Rd St Leonards (can use train or allow time for parking in adjacent carparks)

The workshop will assist parents to:

  • Understand the concerns of siblings
  • Explore factors affecting the adjustment of siblings
  • Identify behaviours that might indicate stress
  • Explore parent role in supporting siblings
  • Identify other sources of support for siblings
  • Meet other parents with similar experiences
