Silverwater Learn and Playland are seeking an experienced chef/cook who is passionate about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for children aged 0 to adults. We are looking for someone that can work full time during the week and someone or the same person that can work on the weekends part-time/casual in a kitchen. Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 1 year of hospitality, institutional, or restaurant cooking experience to include food preparation.
- Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation.
- Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illness.
- Must have food handling certificate.
- Fully Vaccinated with Covid-19 Vaccination.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
- Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Check food and ingredients for freshness.
- Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
