Join this City of Ryde event and learn how to set up your own compost bin or worm farm and:
- reduce your rubbish output by up to 50%
- reduce water consumption in the garden by up to 30%
- nourish your plants
- save money!
Compost is great for a healthy garden and is a valuable organic resource that helps us reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill.
Participants who are City of Ryde residents will be provided with a 50% discount voucher to purchase a compost bin or worm farm after attending this workshop.
Who: This workshop is suitable for adults who live in the City of Ryde local government area.
Equipment: Please bring your own
- note pad and pen
- water bottle
- reusable cup to reduce our environmental impact, and enjoy morning tea
Clothing and Footwear: Please ensure you wear enclosed flat shoes (no sandals, thongs or high heels please) and long trousers covering your legs to your ankles. Bring or apply sunscreen & hat for your own skin protection.
