Chef or Cook, Full-time or Part-time – Ryde

An amazing position is available for a great chef or cook in our gorgeous early childhood centre.

We have a strong philosophy that good nutrition is the bedrock for a child’s development, and thus the cook is central to our operation.

Everything is cooked onsite from scratch and are focused on fresh, whole foods with a menu reflecting meals provided at home.

All training will be provided, from managing allergies to food and nutrition for children. We also train in menu planning, food handling and more!

In the past, our greatest cooks have been parents with a passion for nutrition and taste, who want flexible hours to suit their family commitments. They had their own herb and veggie gardens onsite and worked closely with the children to foster a love of great-tasting, healthy meals. We design menus around your cooking talents – so come and chat with us about what you’d like to be doing each day.

If you wanted to work part-time, we can do this, as we have a kitchen hand who comes in several days a week to help with dishes and meal prep. If you want full-time work, we’d look at you doing more menu planning and documentation, as well as programs with the children around growing and cooking their own food.
