Stryder is a not-for-profit community transport service provider providing specialised transport for eligible clients, primarily those who are transport disadvantaged due to their age, frailty, disability, cultural, language, or other diverse needs.  Stryder also provides accessible transport options for people on NDIS packages and Home Care Packages and complements its core business by offering transport solutions and bus hire to commercial business.

The organisation is now looking to grow its business by appointing a Business Development Manager.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be:

able to demonstrate a strong background in sales and business development;
a self-starter who can work autonomously in a team environment;
capable of building rapport and developing relationships quickly with new prospects;
be able to creatively contribute to the development of the sales strategy that aligns to the overall direction of the organisation.

Candidates with experience in the community transport sector, particularly with knowledge and understanding of reforms in the aged care and disability sector will be well regarded.

Reporting to the General Manager, the focus of the Business Development Manager will be to grow and maintain business relationships by identifying new customers to meet all sales targets as defined in the business development plan in order to contribute to the long term sustainability and growth of Stryder.

Key responsibilities will therefore include:

Achievement of short and long term sales targets.
Development and implementation of strategies to identify and secure new clients for our individual and group community transport service.
Originating and managing quotation and tender submissions.
Maintaining and managing relationships with existing customers.
Engaging with Stryder’s digital media platforms as well as being involved in promotional and marketing activities.

Other skills and experience include:

Competent with Word, Excel and Power-Point programs.
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Confident presentation skills

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, with flexibility on number of hours per week.
