RDM Visits: Primrose Cafe, Macquarie Centre

The Family-friendly factor is a big drawcard for us mums when it comes to eating out with children, and our recent visit to Primrose Cafe, Macquarie Centre did not disappoint on that front!

Owned and operated by two mums (Karlina and Herlina), Primrose Cafe has those child-friendly touches that only a mother would think of!

Firstly, the space is very pram friendly and would make a great mother’s group catch up spot. They also have lots of high chairs available for toddlers.

The menu is printed on an A4 sheet with mazes, find-a-words and dot-to-dot to keep them busy along with EXCELLENT twisty pencils for the kids to use. Nice!

In terms of food, they have a great $10 deal for kids 10 and under which includes a glass of milk OR scoop of ice cream with any of the following meals:

  • ham & cheese toasty
  • chicken nuggets & chips
  • fish & chips

The adults aren’t forgotten either with some amazingly indulgent menu options. Before our visit, we made sure to have a good perve of their Instagram page to see what they had on offer. WOW – not easy to choose! Every single menu item looked uh-mazing! If you’re in the mood to treat yo’self you’ll be in HEAVEN but never fear, they also a wonderful selection of healthy choices too. We had:

  • Nutrify Quinoa Salad with Chicken Breast
  • Smashed Avocado with the lot + plus bacon
  • Crab croissant madness
  • Wake Up breaky burger with halloumi
  • Shared chip platter of potato & sweet potato chips with various dipping sauces

In an extra special turn of events, Karlina found out we were celebrating a birthday lunch and brought out a muffin & macaroon plate with lit candles and we all sang happy birthday! Thank you Karlina! Miss 7 said the macaroons were the best she’s had. She considers herself as a macaroon connoisseur.

All our meals were amazing – no one could fault them. The service was great. We loved that they used paper straws, not plastic. Our friends were very impressed that they served water with their espresso’s (as is the proper custom). Overall a great experience!
