Turns out you don’t need to travel all that far to enjoy high tea! Here’s a list of local places to try.

 

The Cove Dining Co, Abbotsford

Because: Families are welcome, and the gardens are perfect for the kids to roam.

Cost: Sparkling High tea is $59, Kid’s High Tea is $55 and includes making kokedama moss balls.

Because: The dining room is lovely or you can book a private room and the gardens are a must-see.

Available: on request, minimum 20 people

Cost: $55 per child and $80 per adult

Because: There’s something rather magical and fun about this place – a special treat for the kids.

The Riverview Hotel, Balmain

Available: on Saturdays from 12pm-4pm for groups of 10 or more upon request

Cost: $75 and comes with champagne or a cocktail

Available: Thursday – Sunday 12-4pm. Bookings essential.

Cost: $55 per person. Add Sparking Wine for $10 or Champagne for $20 per person.

Available: Every day, minimum 2 people bookings essential

Cost: $99 for 2 people, drinks paid on consumption. Kids $23 each. Basic scones and tea are also available.

Because: They offer a fun “Alice’s Mad Hatter High Tea” and great kids’ options.
