Fruit Picking: 2020 Edition

posted in: Activities, Day Trips | 0

The world is a little topsy turvy right now but fruit is still growing and many Farms are opening their doors to offer fruit picking. It’s such a beloved activity for some many of us, so this is really good news.

Based on our research, the farms are all abiding by physical distancing rules and as such will only let a certain number of guests on-site at any one time, so best to call before you go.

Most Farms have a small entry fee ($3-5 but kids under 5 are often free) and then you either pay by weight or by bucket for the fruit you pick. The fruit is usually excellent value and the freshest you will find! Some offer more than just fruit picking – they also have honey and other farm-fresh goodies available, farm animals to pet/feed and more!

Here are some great options, all within 1 – 1.5 hours or so of Ryde.
