Hunters Hill Medical Practice: Not Your Average General Practice

posted in: Health & Fitness, Life | 0

We were invited to check out Hunters Hill Medical Practice and share our findings – we learned that they offer much more than you might expect from your local general practice. More on that below, but first, did you know Hunters Hill Medical Practice has been operating in the local area since 1860?

It’s the oldest established GP practice in Australia and is now home to 14 GP’s across 8 rooms who have specialties in every area PLUS it has a pathology collection service.

They’ve always been about high standards of care, preventative medicine and a holistic approach to treatment and we witnessed this in our tour which you can watch on Instagram here.

Patient experience

A patient’s experience during their healthcare journey is probably the most important element of all. Hunters Hill Medical Practice focuses on spending time with patients, getting to know them, understanding their history and getting the care right. Making sure care is integrated and providing continuity of care is really important to Hunters Hill Medical Practice and is one of the factors that help them stand out and create lasting relationships with patients.

Facilities

Hunters Hill Medical Practice has an inviting waiting area (which has recently been refreshed), comfortable consultation rooms, a state-of-the-art treatment room and the latest medical technology. A comfortable environment makes going to the GP that bit easier, especially when kids are involved!

We also think it’s worth mentioning their big accessible bathroom with a baby change table and enough room for a double pram or wheelchair. Things like this make all the difference. ??

In terms of connected care, HHMP has it down to a fine art. This multi-disciplinary practice not only has GPs, but also specialists and allied health all under one roof, making it a kind of “one-stop-shop” which is hugely convenient when time is limited.
