What’s on at Eden Gardens these school holidays?


Teddy Bears Picnic

2nd October

We’re going on a bear hunt! Want to join us?

Come along and join Kristy from Move n Groove for a reading of The Teddy Bears’ Picnic, followed by a bear hunt in our gardens where you’ll get to hunt for your very own bear friend to take home and at the end, there’ll be arts and craft near our amphitheatre too!

Potting and Planting Workshop:

3rd & 4th October

Studies have proven that having plants around you while studying increases concentration.

These school holidays bring the kids into our potting and planting workshop where the kids can come decorate a pot, plant a pansy and watch it grow!

Kids Boat Making Workshop:

8th October

Looking for something new for the kids to do these school holidays? Join Danielle Minett in this one-off workshop creating amazing cardboard boats!

Clay Paper Workshop:

9th October

Get your hands dirty as you explore the possibilities with clay.

Squelch, squeeze, pinch, pull, mould and roll as you learn the basics of hand-building to create your own project. You might make a crazy animal sculpture, a funky vase or beautiful bowl. Bring willing hands and imaginations.

Recycled Flower Workshop:

10th October

Come join artist and light designer Chloe Alice from In Colour Creative as she fashions flowers from recycled materials and single-use plastics.

Take home your own unique creation.  Chloe is responsible for the fabulous Gum Blossoms we have installed in the Redgum outside titled Capitalist Bloom and can inspire all of us to upcycle and think about limiting our waste.

Flying fancies and Beautiful Beasties Workshop:

11th October

Whether you are a beginner or advanced in crochet, join Alison and create some critters to add to her creation ‘The Magic of the Garden’ which will be a part of Eden Unearthed from August through to January 2020.

And if you fancy learning how to craft some crochet critters for your own kids, join Alison on Sunday 13th for an adults crafting workshop.
